Elder & Lead Pastors

Tim and Britany were high school sweethearts who shared a deep call to ministry, which led them to Multnomah University in Portland, Oregon, in the mid-90s. Their ministry journey began in southwest Portland, serving as Youth and Kids pastors. Their family expanded with the birth of their sons, Duncan and Celtin, in 2000 and 2001, respectively, and their daughter, Mckenzie, in 2002. Feeling called to global ministry, they moved to Southern California for leadership training before planting a mission training school and church in Glasgow, Scotland. They welcomed their second daughter, Hallie, in 2005, and after five years of hard joy-filled work in Glasgow's West End, they returned to Portland in 2011, joining A Jesus Church as the Missional Communities Pastor. Tim's heart for people and leadership eventually led to him becoming Executive Pastor in 2013. After a decade of faithful service to the AJC community, he was honored to accept the call to Lead Pastor in 2022, stepping into a new season of leadership at AJC with a heart full of faith and vision for the future.

Tim and Britany are passionate about family in their home and as a church community. With a heart for the next generation, they believe in the transforming power of encountering the Holy Spirit and authentic relationships. Their commitment to serving others is rooted in a deep love for Jesus and His family. They long to see God move in this generation and through A Jesus Church, confident that His dreams are always greater than we could imagine!
